A service offering fast and uncomplicated assistance whether for building furniture or filling out a tax form. Reto Städler and Patrick Jud found that they were looking in vain for this type of cross-industry service. This made them both realise that there was a growing demand. It is true to say that increasing numbers of people want or have to take on second or third jobs, are looking for a better work-life balance or simply want greater flexibility. They then considered the following question: why not simply sell your own knowledge and skills?
This should not just be an interesting proposition for people looking for jobs, i.e. the talent, but it should also benefit people wishing to get a job done who want or need to save money. After all, you don’t necessarily need to be a gardener to mow a lawn and you don’t need to be a mechanic to change tyres. There are numerous situations in daily life when fast, uncomplicated and inexpensive help is needed because you don’t have the time and skills to do it yourself. This realisation marked the birth of Lawoon.
The founders’ vision: an online platform which brings together employers and employees in just a few clicks. But it doesn’t stop there: when the work is completed, the money is automatically transferred. Lawoon deals with all the invoicing. The job portal is expected to become an integral part of the modern working world whether you are a skilled tradesperson, student, homemaker, artist, pensioner or qualified professional.
